Professional dilemma No. 74:

One of the unspoken privileges of teaching is having your own classroom. It's not a guarantee. Because I don't teach first and second periods, another teacher uses my room.

Problem: The students are disrespectul to the teacher in my room. Should I stand up for him? Wouldn't it make him look even more powerless?

Philophobia

Hello, I'm Wilgeorek Jecloomberlain, and I have philopobia.

Philophobia is the fear of love. It's what Oprah's fan club calls the fear of commitment. I can't commit to a blog. I've tried several and deleted them. If I compared myself blogging self (bloggoself?) to some philophobic guy, I'd be some weird amalgamation of Derek Jeter, George Clooney, and Wilt Chamberlain.

I'm not proud of this.
